Kate vanderVoort founded Social Mediology in 2009, to fulfil her passion of connecting people, organisations and ideas. As an early adopter, she has used social media as a tool for building brands, increasing sales, creating social change and building online communities for many years. She has worked on social media strategies and training for some of Australia’s largest corporates and not-for-profits and still has a passion and commitment to helping small business access these powerful marketing tools.

Kate regularly conducts workshops and webinars and speaks at conferences and events both in Australia and internationally. She has extensive experience in marketing, business development, fundraising and senior leadership roles. You can read all about them on LinkedIn!

Ben Wood Social Media

Ben Wood

Ben has always had a passion for creating great stories. From crafting nominated fiction to publishing articles for online magazines, his knack for connecting words to the audience has led him to earn a Masters of Creative Writing (QUT) and work with the Brisbane City Council as a social media specialist.
From the early days of social media, Ben has been involved with online advertising. From promoting local culture and working in the small business and corporate sector, Ben understands how to get the message out to there to the right audience.
Ben believes in the value of social media because every business has a story. He specialises in developing unique marketing strategies and creating outstanding content so companies can build an audience of followers that shares in its values and dreams.
