Is your strategy in place?

Welcome to the new Blog of Social Mediology. We will be sharing regular tips on all things social media. You got it! 3 each time. That way they are quick and easy to read and things that you can implement straight away to make a significant difference to your online strategy. We look forward to hearing your thoughts and feel free to make suggestions on what you would like to see here!

So – to get us started – here are our Top 3 Tips for your social media strategy:

1. Choose the 2 or 3 social media platforms that will connect you to your ideal customer and do those well. You don’t need to be everywhere on the net to start with and once you have the core of your strategy bedded down – you can expand as you need to.

2. Set clear objectives at the beginning so that your time spent on social media is targeted and focussed. You can spend a lot of time trying to be everything to everybody, when laser like focus with clear objectives, will get you much further.

3. Set measurable targets and start with the end goal in mind.  Measure regularly so that you can change your strategy if it is not meeting your objectives. Return on investment can be hard to measure in social media, so embed measurement tools as you develop your strategy.

Happy strategising!
